He believes people still need to keep wearing masks and calls on the UK government to adopt a uniform policy on wearing masks.  The requirement to wear face masks in indoor public places has been lifted as part of the UK government's final phase of unsealing areas in England from July 19.

        On the one hand, wearing masks can still play an important role in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases across England, sinha said. On the other hand, continuing the mask requirement would remind the public not to forget that the virus is still spreading even after the mask is unsealed.  It also stressed the importance of masks for all: "Clinically, vulnerable populations do have the option of wearing masks and social distancing, but if others do not do so, these vulnerable populations can still be at risk of infection even if they wear masks."

     There was confusion over mask policy across the UK and called for a unified policy at all levels of government. "I don't agree that one policy applies to one region and not another.
